Despite being a small school, we are very proud to offer an excellent range of after school activities that enhance the children’s experience of school and enrich their learning.
Over the last couple of years, we have been able to offer the following after school clubs. All bar one of the clubs was free for children to attend:
|Basketball, Eco-club, Gardening, Kudo (coding), Multi-skills, Tag rugby, Singing, Arts and Crafts, Running, Drama||Choir, Drama, Gymnastics, Hockey, Mindfulness, Spanish, Task Master (problem solving) , Robot Design, Book Club, Clubbercise, Fitness||Athletics, Choir, Country Dancing, Cricket, Drama, Fitness, Outdoor exploration, Rounders, Sketching|
In addition to our after school activities, we have reward afternoons every term where our children can choose activities to experience. These have included such things as a welly walk, lego building, treasure hunts, photography, scavenger art, tennis, sewing, tower building and board games.
Alongside the music taught in class, which includes the years 1 and 2 learning percussion and years 3 through to year 6 learning ukulele with a peripatetic music teacher, there are opportunities for the children to take drumming, piano and guitar lessons. These lessons culminate in music concerts at the end of each term.
At the end of the school year, we put on a musical production that features as many of the children as possible and gives them a chance to develop their self-confidence through performing to their peers and families.
