Admissions Posted on November 6, 2017 by Richard Reid Admission Arrangements Admissions to our school are in line with the Local Authority admissions policy. SEND provision, the needs of looked after children, distance from the school and siblings at the school are taken into consideration if places are oversubscribed. In common with schools across Somerset, admissions to the Reception year are administered by the Local Authority. Admissions during a school year and admissions to all other year groups are processed by the school. We recognise the importance of starting a new school at any time and make every effort, in partnership with parents and the children, to ensure the settling in period is as easy as possible for all concerned. Our planned admission number for each year group is 12 pupils. Click here to read the latest school prospectus. Click here to find the Somerset County Council webpage on school admissions. Where an application has been refused in any year group, the child will be placed on a waiting list. This will be kept strictly in order of oversubscription criteria by the Local Authority, as the Admission Authority, and the child will remain on the waiting list until the end of the academic year in which the application was refused. Parents are responsible for informing the Admission Authority of any changes in their circumstances, which could affect their place on the waiting list.
