Our school prides itself on the relationship we build with our parents.  For a child to truly be the best they can be, it is essential that the link between home and school is strong.  That way, parents and school staff can work together to help the children in their care become ready for the world beyond our school.

Each year, we run Inspire Sessions.  We invite families to come and learn alongside their children in school.  This gives a chance for parents to work alongside their children and develop an understanding of our teaching methods.

In addition to our Inspire Sessions, we also run Share My Learning drop in sessions each month that gives parents a chance to look at their child’s work and have an informal chat with the class teacher.  We give 3 reports a year as well as 3 parent evenings

We encourage family members to come in and read to and with the children as well as run assemblies where they explain their job roles.

If you would like to support your child in acquiring and developing mental maths skills, our school’s mental calculation policy can help show you the skills required in each year. Please click here to read it.

Our maths progression documents show the main methods we use to teach and record addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Please click here to view this document.
